I am so full of envy

Few minutes ago I saw a friend post this video on her wall, I got so excited! T Mobile Barcelona did a big and live Angry Bird game, it looks so festive and fun. The people are so happy watching the birds hitting the green pigs who stole their eggs. Saatchi and Saatchi Barcelona did a remarkable event on this.

A few weeks ago, I saw a YouTube video of Coca Cola Village (Israel) "Like us on Facebook Live." Each participants were given an RFID (Radio Frequency Identification) bracelet that contains their Facebook username and password. It is one of the best customer collaboration event I have seen. Coke + Facebook = Success

As an individual, I envy them. As a marketing practitioner, I envied Saatchi and Saatchi (TMobile) and Publicis E-dologic (Coke) for doing an excellent job. I am so full of envy :P

Do you know how to do the dougie?

I've been trying to do the dougie and it's fun. It's been a week and I can't get it off me. We've been dancing the dougie together with my 3yr old grandchild JB (yes I have) who can do an amazing dougie and cat daddy steps. Recently on the Ellen Degeneres show, Justin Beiber teached Ellen to dance the dougie and it was so freaking funny. According to Justin, to do the cat daddy steps you should do "cross, cross, wheelchair" to follow. Mind you Ellen can do the steps!

According to Wikipedia "The Dougie is a hiphop dance generally performed by moving one's body in a  shimmy style and passing a hand through or near the hair on one's own head. There is no defined way to perform the Dougie, and each individual performs with his or her own variation. Rapper Corey Fowler, nicknamed Smoove, of Cali Swag District said, “Everbody does it different…The way you do it defines you.”

Harry Sham (Mike Chang) and Brittany Spears (Heather Morris) of Glee did a tutorial of a basic dougie. The music itself is so dragging that you can dance even while you are sitting.

Come on let us all do the dougie!

THE ONE THAT GOT AWAY

I came across this article in GT which is super nice. Somehow I can relate. Here's the link http://www.femalenetwork.com/girltalk/index.php/topic,239150.0.html

THE ONE THAT GOT AWAY

Source: The Manila Times
By: Mark J. Macapagal

In your life, you’ll make note of a lot of people. Ones with whom you shared something special, ones who will always mean something. There’s the one you first kissed, the one you first loved, the one you lost your virginity to, the one you put on a pedestal, the one you’re with…and the one that got away.

Who is the one that got away? I guess it’s that person with who everything was great, everything was perfect, but the timing was just wrong. There was no fault in the person, there was no flaw in the chemistry, but the cards just didn’t fall the right way, I suppose.

I believe in the fact that ending up with someone, finding a longtime partner that is, does not lie merely in the other person. I can actually argue that an equal part, or maybe even the greater part, has to do with the matter of timing. It has to do with you being ready to settle down and commit to someone in a way that goes beyond the little niceties of giddy romance.

How often have you gone through it without even realizing it? When you’re not ready to commit in that mature manner, it doesn’t matter who you’re with, it just doesn’t work. Small problems become big; inconsequentials become dealbreakers simply because you’re not ready and it shows. It’s not that you and the person you’re with are no good; it’s just that it’s not yet right, and little things become the flashpoint of that fact.

Then one day you’re ready. You really are. And when this happens you’ll be ready to settle down with someone. He or she may not be the most perfect, they might not be the brightest star of romance to ever have burned in your life, but it’ll work because you’re ready. It’ll work because it’s the right time and you’ll make it work. And it’ll make sense, it really will.

So that day comes when you’re finally making sense of things, and you find yourself to be a different person. Things are different, your approach is different, you finally understand who you are and what you want, and you’ve become ready because the time has truly arrived. And mind you, there’s no telling when this day will come. Hopefully you’re single but you could be in a long-term relationship, you could be married with three kids, it doesn’t matter.

All you know is that you’ve changed, and for some reason, the one that got away, is the first person you think about.

You’ll think about them because you’ll wonder, "What if they were here today?" You’ll wonder, "What if we were together now, with me as I am and not as I was?". That’s what the one that got away is. The biggest "What if?" you’ll have in your life.

If you’re married, you’ll just have to accept the fact that the one that got away, got away. Believe me, nomatter how fairy tale you think your marriage is, this can happen to the best of us. But hopefully you’re mature enough to realize that you’re already with the one you’re with and this is just another test of your commitment, one which will just strengthen your marriage when you get past it. Sure, you’ll think about him/her every so often, but it’s alright. It’s never nice to live with a "might have been," but it happens.

Maybe the one that got away is the one who’s already married. In which case it’s the same thing. You just have to accept and know that your memories of that person will probably bring a nice little smile to your lips in the future when you’re old and gray and reminiscing. But if neither of that is the case, then it’s different. What do you do if it’s not yet too late? Simple…find him, find her. Because the very existence of a "one that got away" means that you’ll always wonder, what if you got that one?

Ask him out to coffee, ask her out to a movie, it doesn’t matter if you’ve dropped in from out of nowhere. You’d be surprised, you just might be "the one that got away" as well for the person who is your "the one that got away."

You might drop in from out of nowhere and it won’t make a difference.

If the timing is finally right, it’ll all just fall into place somehow and you know, I’m thinking, it would be a great feeling in the end, to be able to say to someone, "Hey you, you’re the one that almost got away." =)

Loving these products!

I am a sucker of anything that is either minty or cool. The products above are my favorites, the only one missing is the Peppermint oil I buy in Greenhills. Let me tell you why ...

1. Dove Go Fresh Body Mist and Deo Stick (not in the picture) Cool Essentials in Cucumber and Green Tea Scent - I am so happy that Dove has it, I also have Strawberry but since I am a "minty cool" addict I prefer not to use it. I don't favor sweet fruity scents.

2 and 3. Head & Shoulders Shampoo and Conditioner - I love it in the shower. Sometimes I opt not to take Advil for my headache, instead I head to the shower room, wash my hair and massage my scalp using these.

4. Johnson's & Johnson's Smoothing Vapor Bath - This is my #1 favorite. I saw this at my sister's tub in San Diego, CA. I used it and automatically fell in love with it. It's a baby care product used by my 7 year old nephew, its best for people suffering from colds and phlegm. I always tell my friends to use it by sharing some in small bottles whenever they need it nor their babies ... and yes they love it too. My mother who is a sucker for antibiotics whenever she have cough tried it ... another convert.. Bad news is, we don't have it here in Manila, but I saw it in Duty Free (Paranaque). It cost around a $5-7. It's on top of my wish list whenever my my sister or my nanay asked what I want for pasalubong or balikbayan box.

5 . pH Care Cool Feminine Wash - Who doesn't want to feel cool down there? I love the scent and the after effect.

6. Ora Care Cool Mouthwash - Its like gargling cold water without a chemical after taste.

7. Burt's Bees - Originally, what I love are the ones in small canister. I use it in my lips and under my nose whenever I feel cold. 1 lip balm is good for a year. I have 6pcs of it now, I put it in the ref like the ones I did for my lipsticks para wag mag melt.

8. ChapStick - I bought it as a replacement for my Burt's Bees when I run out of stock. I don't like buying Burt's Bees at Beauty Bar or Essences, they sell it at Php300.00-350.00 when its only $3 in Walmart.

Not included in the picture above is my ever favorite Peppermint oil from Greenhills. I only have one left and I gave it to an officemate who is suffering from colds for 2 weeks. She is complaining how hard it is to sleep and breath when in bed. I told her to put drops of it on her pillow, the following day she told me "Mitch, effective!" During the ber months, I burn it (using a burner lol) every morning while taking a shower. I tried buying the same scent of oil from different stores and tiangge, compared to the one being sold at Greenhills no one can beat it.

Because I cannot revive my old Femalenetwork account, I created a new one. I don't even remember the email I used, poor me. I was a member for 9 years or so, I even join grand EB's and meet friends (I wonder where they are?) .I am back as a Newbie, but then who cares as long as I am back. :)

Who doesn't want to be happy, anyone?

““When I was 5 years old, my mother always told me that happiness was the key to life. When I went to school, they asked me what I wanted to be when I grew up. I wrote down ‘happy’. They told me I didn’t understand the assignment, and I told them they didn’t understand life."
- John Lennon

If happiness is as simple as ABC, everyone will be. Who doesn't want to be happy, anyone? The fastest way to attain happiness is to decide for ourselves. But that is not always the case, it usually lead us to be selfish. Considering others suppressed the happy feeling we want to achieve, it's called love.

Zombadings (Patayin sa Shokot si Remington)

Nalurkey ako, title pa lang baklang bakla na hahaha. I saw the trailer in youtube, iniisip ko lang kung spoof type ito ng "Patayin sa sindak si Barbara" starring Lorna Tolentino (Barbara) and Dawn Zulueta. I watch the film back when I was in college, sa Isetann Recto ko pa ito napanood ha at talaga namang over ang pag ka shokot ko.

Whatever, sa August 30 pa naman will see. Tse!

Pilipinas, Tara Na!

I recently saw this video of the Department of Tourism's campaign sang by some of the country's best singers. Two Saturdays ago at SM Mall of Asia, I was awed by a big map of the Philippines made by Lego. I felt like I was a kid. Ikot ako ng ikot to take pictures. It was awesome.

Thanks to my recent job, if not for the company I won't be able to see the beauty of our country (for free). It was indeed a country we should be proud of.

Blog test, blog test

. . .

I finally got the time to write a (new) blog. I did so many accounts from the past and yet, I could not remember any of them. Super ulyanin kasi ako. This time I wrote my newly created email and password (both for blogger and yahoo accounts) and swear not to forget it so I can have one that I can use for a long time.

Nag iisip ako what to blog, wala ako ma isip. Tse bahala na, I will just do whatever. Btw, I got churvakels simply because hindi ko alam. Churva is a gay lingo with a lot of meaning. Churva, chumurva, nag churvahan, churvahin, etc
